GQ Patrol 7075 Aluminum Front Panhard
This is our 7075 aluminum front panhard for the GU patrol. We have redesigned the front panhard to help some of the issues with the standard design. Everyone has heard about the famous death wobble the patrols can develop, it can be caused by wear in the bushes. The bushes in the OEM front panhard were poorly designed so we have replaced the diff end bush with an offset heim. Then the chassis mount bush with a shelled type bush over a soft bush for better on road feel and longevity of the bush.
This front panhard will require some modification to install. The standard panhard mount on the diff will have to be removed, a threaded bung and double shear bracket will have to be welded on. We recommend this is installed by a professional.

What Is 7075 Aluminum?
7075 T6 aluminum is an alloy used for its high strength, and resistance to fatigue while remaining lightweight. Having a similar yield and tensile strength to 4140 steel it also has elasticity characteristics making it the perfect material for suspension links/arms. 7075 T6 aluminum has become the ‘go-to’ material for offroad racing for its strength and its ability to flex and return to straight under high-load applications.
At Stavweld Engineering, we don’t just design and build parts and call it a day—we put in the extra work behind the scenes to make sure every product is seriously strong, reliable, and built to keep you safe.
Using detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA), we rigorously test our products under real-world load conditions that 4WD vehicles commonly experience, both on and off the road. This process allows us to simulate extreme stresses such as heavy impacts, torsional forces, and prolonged fatigue, ensuring each component performs reliably when it matters most.
